How to search?

Under Retail, Interior Design, Renovation, you will find all related products and services. In each section, on the right frame of the page, there are quick links to the corresponding categories. To be more specific in terms of products and location, the search panel allows you to select and enter your query. For example, if you want to find a wooden sofa bed in the Toronto West area, you can enter the following detail:



The “Results per page” indicates how many result items you will see per page. If you have a fast internet connection, you might want to see 20 or 30 results per page without clicking “next page”. For those with slow internet connection, leave this value small so that the page can load more quickly for your viewing.
In the “Keywords” field, you can be as specific as you want such as “metal, maple or oak wood sofa bed”
But we suggest that you be general enough that you may get more results.

In the Classifieds section you can search for products on sale by other locals.
In the Forums section you can search for tips, questions or topics regarding home furnishings that will help clarify some of your inquiries.
To post a free classified ad or a message in the Forums, register quickly for a free account.

Interior Design Section

There are various interior design services. They are broken down into specific areas such as:
- Commercial: offices and work space
- Hospitality: restaurants, bars, hotels, clubs and so on
- Residential: houses, apartments and studios
- Retail: retail spaces such as shops, boutiques and malls
- Landscaping: outdoor landscaping design

Other services that fall under this category are:
- Decorating: using colours and objects for events or homes
- Draperies & Blinds: custom design for your home
- Custom Furniture


PREMIUM USERS HELP

Is the premium account for me?

The premium account is for a business that wants to be listed on torontofurnishings.com. This account allows users to login and update their listings. They can also check their payment history, statistics of their exposure and hits to their website or post classified ads.

Register an account

If you want to register a premium account, please fill out the registration form.
After activating your account, you can post classified ads. One of our sales reps will follow up with you as soon as possible to help you select the right feature for your business.

Forget your password?

If you forget your password, please click here to enter your email address and then the password will be sent to you.

Update existing ads

Update your ad by logging into your account and selecting "update my listings".
To load image, please make sure your image is in .jpg or .gif format. To draw more attention to your ad listing, your visual image should be clear at a small scale and reflect the image of your products or services. This is very important as it is the first impression you give your audience.

Order new ads/banners

From your premium account, you can request a new ad/banner. Your account manager will review the ad and contact you to confirm your order and assist you further in finalizing your ad image.

Check payment history

You can track your payment history with us and print it for your records. If you have any concerns, please contact us immediately.

Check statistics of your website

You can check the statistics of hits on your ads and visitors to your website from the last 6 months.

Post classified ads or forums

From My Management, you can post/edit/delete free classified ads anytime you wish. Classified ads are for a one time sale special for used or new furnishing products.

Tips to communicate to your clients better

- Select a clean image that reflects your business. A simple image will be more attractive at first glance. If possible include a logo. Our staff can always assist you in putting together a good visual image for your ad listing.
- In the Description field, paint an image of your company with words. Be specific about your product/service specialty. Include the operating hours if you do not have a website.
- In the Keywords field, add as many keywords as you can think of. For example, if you are a furniture store, your keywords might be: furniture, design, contemporary, metal, glass, wood, bed, table, console, chair, accessories, décor, upholstery, sofa, lighting, ottoman, walnut, European style.
- When you have a seasonal promotion, consider the Description field for detailed info. For example, “Our end of season sales starts from Jan 15-22; everything will be 50% off.”

Tips on promoting your business in the forums

- If you have a public event such as a seminar about your products/services, a product-launch event or an exhibition of your new gallery, you can post this event in Forums, under Events.
- Many people, new to the GTA may not be informed about certain tradeshows or occasional outdoor markets, you can tell them about that particular event, especially if you are an exhibitor there.
- Many people may have questions about a particular service or product in town. By checking the forums you can share your expertise by answering those questions. Asking questions in the forums is also a way to interact with your clients and getting feedback. The more interaction you have with the public, the better people will know you and will prefer to do business with you. This will then better anable you to understand their needs.

Post a classified ad

You need to register quickly for a free account in order to post and manage your classified ads. If you wish to do it now, please click here.
You need to activate your account from your email before you can login and use it.
When posting a classified ad, make sure that your ad will be posted in the right category and remember to give your contact information.
You are responsible for the content of your ads.

How to make your ad attractive

- Make the title descriptive. For example, "One-year old Ikea dining set for 4", "Nice sofa bed, good condition, cheap price", "Pentium 4 Desktop & Printer from Dell"
- Make the content specific and brief. Include all information needed to make your items more attractive such as condition, colour, age, make, model, brand, usage, material, accessories, bonus and so on. Remember to include your contact info.
- Choose a crisp, clean image. A small image is more attractive.

How to come up in search more efficiently?

- To come up in the search more efficiently, you need to put in keywords describing to your products. For example, if you advertise a sofa bed, your keywords can be "pine, sofa bed, blue, cheap, Ikea".

What is the purpose of the Forums?

The forums allow the public to share knowledge and experience about renovation, interior design, events, deals, tips and related topics in the GTA. We would learn from each other mistakes those can be quite costly sometime.

Post a message in the Forums.

Guests can enter their names and reply to any message on the fly by clicking “reply” on the right hand corner of the message. However, as a guest, you are not allowed to post new messages in the forums. To post a new topic in the Forums, you need to quickly register a free account by clicking here.
